Use Of The App

YomiChan is provided as a Japanese dictionary and learning tool. Dictionary definitions, examples, review schedules, pronunciation, and generated or maintained language content are educational aids and may contain errors. You remain responsible for how you use the information.

Local And Cloud Data

Learning progress is primarily stored locally. Optional iCloud sync and cloud features depend on Apple, network availability, and our service providers. You are responsible for maintaining device access and appropriate backups. We do not guarantee uninterrupted synchronization or recovery in every circumstance.

YomiChan Plus Subscription

YomiChan Plus is offered as an auto-renewable monthly subscription at the price displayed by the App Store, targeted at 100 JPY per month in Japan. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled through your Apple subscription settings. Billing, cancellation, refund eligibility, taxes, and regional pricing are governed by Apple's terms and App Store policies.

Plus currently provides iCloud learning-data sync, on-demand cloud updates for dictionary entries already stored locally, and danmaku publishing and display controls. We may improve the implementation while preserving purchased access during an active entitlement, subject to platform availability and these Terms.

User Content And Community Safety

You are responsible for the nickname, biography, avatar, danmaku, feedback, and reports you submit. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually explicit, infringing, deceptive, spam, or privacy-invasive content. Do not impersonate others or expose another person's private information.

We may reject, hide, retain for evidence, or remove content; restrict submissions; and investigate reports when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights. Users can report danmaku and block authors through the app.

Acceptable Use

You may not attempt to bypass subscription verification, rate limits, dictionary-maintenance controls, moderation, or service security; automate abusive submissions; probe non-public systems; or interfere with other users' access. Cloud access may be limited or suspended to prevent abuse or excessive load.

Availability And Updates

We may update dictionary content, learning behavior, user interface, service limits, moderation rules, and supported operating-system versions. Features may vary by device, region, Apple service availability, network condition, and app version.

No Warranty And Limitation

The app and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that all content is complete, that the service will be error-free, or that local or synchronized data can always be recovered. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
